CLEANING

• Given Sterling Silver oxidises naturally over time, we recommend polishing your item with a Silver Polishing Cloth when the time comes. These can be purchased from any supermarket.
• Gold plated items are best cleaned with a soft cloth, wet cotton ball or, a baby wipes. Do not use chemicals as this might affect the plating.

GEMSTONES

Gemstones are delicate and will chip or shatter on impact with hard surfaces. Please take care when handling and storing.

Please note that stones that break due to mishandling will not be viewed as faulty.

GOLD PLATING

• Chief uses high grade 2.5 - 3 micron gold plating to ensure our pieces are durable.
• You can wear Chief plated jewellery in the shower, bath, pool or at the beach and the plating should last a minimum of 12 months (that's why we have a 12 month warranty!)
• Gold plating can be eroded more quickly if you items are in contact with chemicals in your workplace (hello, hairdressers!) or, if you are wearing the items stacked with other jewellery.
• If your plating is eroded due to stacking with other items like rings, or bracelets, then our 12 month warranty wont apply, as that's considered natural wear and tear.

ADJUSTING YOUR ITEMS

Adjust your item to the correct size by applying light pressure to bend the metal. Please keep in mind that continual adjustment will cause the metal to fatigue and may cause damage. Adjustable cuffs are designed to be altered to your size once, and damage caused by excessive bending will not be viewed as a product fault.
